Meet the Authors
Neil Burns is an avid sciencefiction/fantasy
fan and an amateur writer. He has submitted a story to the XENAverse fanzine and enjoys writing
and photography. He lives in Massachusetts and is a black belt in taekwondo. He
enjoys The Queen of Swords, especially her amorality, and hopes to continue
gracing Swordplay with his tales for a long time.
Bridget Cochran started writing
fanfic with Alias Smith and Jones at age 12, but
didn't know that's what it was called. Most of her efforts have been in the
Star Trek: Voyager universe, but she has spent some time writing Highlander: The
Series fiction. She enjoys writing immensely and will continue to do so as long
as she can type or hold a pen in her hand.
Eliza has been writing fan fiction for
as long as she has been watching TV, but it all remained in her head until she discovered
Highlander fandom. Her The Queen of Swords stories are the first to which
she has given serious attention, and "The Alliance" is her first completed work. She
lives in Manitoba but has travelled extensively and hopes to include
those experiences in future stories.
Jilara is a technical writer,
historical reenactor, and avocational
historian with a wide and decades-long background in martial and military
pursuits, including swordfighting. Her publications credits go back to
1971, mostly in nonfiction and poetry. Lately, she has been writing
sexually-explicit historical erotica, mostly for sexythinking.com.
JoLayne is a co-owner of
Manzana Core - Dr. Helm,
the Apple of Our Eye and co-ringmaster of The Queen of Swords Web Ring.
Other of her stories can be found on
Jo's Obsessions - Highlander, Queen of Swords, West Wing, X Files, Hitchcock.
Currently Jo is a Keeper of Helm's Wash Basin and Sponge, Keeper of Montoya's Dress Uniform,
Keeper of Marta's Long Curly Hair, Keeper of the Secrets in Grisham's Past,
Keeper of Vera's Love Life and Extracurricular Activites, and Keeper of the Queen's Dagger.
Lilah is a fully accredited
college student who writes fanfiction whenever
her sadistic professors give her a bit of breathing room. A standing
devotee at the altar of Fantasy, Science Fiction and British Humor, Lilahís
hobbies include gaming, theater, torturing telemarketers, spoiling cats and
bringing enlightenment to the rest of the heathen masses of Ohio in the form
of good books.
Maril Swan: I live on a small farm in Southern
Ontario, Canada where we grow rocks mostly. As a vocation, I teach computer graphics applications
at a private business college. As an avocation, I am an amateur writer, artist and wood-carver.
For nearly two years, I have been writing fan fiction, starting with the Raven, a
Highlander spin-off, and then more recently, switching to The Queen of Swords for
inspiration.
