Plot construction|Plotting is the nuts and bolts of a story — constructing a logical connection between events and placing them in the right order to create a dramatic arc (see dramatic structure). Well-crafted plotting is nearly invisible because the reader is so swept up by the story that there is no pause for reflection. Events appear to unfold naturally and inexorably, instead of being forced to meet the demands of the writer. |
